ModigenceVision signed a memorandum of understanding with MountAIn, a French AI company, for cooperation in physical AI applications, Money Today reported on January 14, 2026.
The two will combine 3D-vision-based perception with application-driven edge AI to find and validate physical AI use cases that work outside the lab. ModigenceVision brings 3D perception and sensing; MountAIn brings edge AI middleware, application intelligence, and system-level operations. Early work is pilot cooperation built around proofs of concept and demos.
One focus is deployability in industrial and remote environments constrained by power and network access. The aim is to show physical AI moving from research and testing into working industrial sites.
Physical AI is not complete with robots, sensors, and algorithms alone. It becomes meaningful when application intelligence that reads and interprets the real world is combined organically inside a working system.
Vincent Huard, CEO of MountAIn, said that in the shift to physical AI, integrating hardware and software is a necessity rather than an option, and that the two companies would show how a reliable physical AI system can be built for industrial and remote environments.
