ModigenceVision exhibited MARU at Try Everything 2026, the global startup event at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul on September 9–10, 2026, AVING News reported on August 19. At its booth in DDP Art Hall 1 the company showed the MARU lineup as physical units and the sensor, edge SoC, and vision AI configuration behind them, with two live demonstrations: high-precision spatial perception in a setting modeled on a logistics center, and robot manipulation. The aim, the company said, was to meet robotics, automation, and system integration firms from Korea and abroad and check deployment conditions in person.
MARU replaces the arrangement in which a customer buys the camera module, edge computing board, on-device AI, and vision software from different suppliers and integrates them alone. Standardized sensing, compute, and AI blocks are recombined for each application, so a change of use does not mean a perception system designed from scratch.
Sensing is chosen to fit the job: ToF 3D depth, RGB, IR, or a multi-sensor fusion, selected by range, field of view, accuracy, and operating environment. Object detection, segmentation, depth and point-cloud processing, 6-DoF pose estimation, defect detection, volume measurement, and grasp-point generation run on the module itself.
A perception module is not chosen from a catalog. It has to be matched to what must be seen, at what distance and to what accuracy, together with the lighting, reflections, and mounting angle on site.
The article reports more than 3,000 vision modules shipped and several production programs under way in robotics and medical devices. Samsung Electronics’ medical device business completed validation of a vision module in September 2025, with volume production set for 2026, and a logistics 3D vision project with Hanwha Vision applied MARU to cargo volume measurement and automatic dimensioning. The company works with more than ten customers in five countries and names PRETTL of Germany, MountAIn of France, and VoxelSensors of Belgium as partners.
