ModigenceVision won the Korea-Germany Connect: AI Startup Pitching Challenge 2026 on July 15 in Seoul, The Korea Herald reported the same day. The competition was organized by the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) with Infineon Technologies and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), and held at KITA’s Startup Branch.
The win carries an invitation. The company pitches live on the main stage of APK 2026, the 19th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business, before about 1,000 leaders from business, government, and academia in Seoul on October 29–31. APK is the biennial flagship event of German business in the Asia-Pacific region.
Five Korean startups reached the final, with solutions spanning enterprise AI, advanced manufacturing, robotics, spatial intelligence, and digital healthcare. The jury drew on the German Embassy in Seoul, KITA, Infineon Technologies, AUMOVIO, Mercedes-Benz, and The Korea Herald. It judged technology and innovation, market potential and traction, fit with the German and EU markets, relevance to corporate use cases, sustainability of the business model, and the pitch itself.
The paper describes ModigenceVision, founded in 2023, as a developer of 3D vision systems for robotics and industrial automation that combines 3D camera hardware, edge AI computing, and vision software into a single platform, with deployments in manufacturing, logistics, and medical applications.
The award is an opportunity to expand collaboration with global partners, including in Germany.
Marie Antonia von Schönburg, president and CEO of KGCCI, said the initiative gives Korean AI companies international exposure and is meant to strengthen ties between the Korean and German business communities. The other finalists, CUBIG, HYPER Network, Impactive AI, and Tommoro Robotics, receive access to KGCCI programs that connect Korean startups with German companies and investors.
