ModigenceVision and Hayan Industrial sign a letter of cooperation on edge AI vision for kitchen fire suppression

The conditional agreement puts the company’s edge AI vision platform into Hayan Industrial’s F20 automatic fire-suppression units for commercial kitchens, and can grow into volume supply of up to 7 billion won over five years once the pilot succeeds, ET News reports.

ModigenceVision signed a letter of cooperation (LoC) on September 21, 2026 with Hayan Industrial, a maker of automatic fire-suppression systems for commercial kitchens, ET News reported on October 2. The LoC is conditional: a successful pilot leads to a definitive supply contract with a minimum term of five years from the start of supply. On those terms, the article says, the deal can grow into volume supply worth up to 7 billion won over five years.

The work targets Hayan Industrial’s F20 series of automatic kitchen fire-suppression units. Adding ModigenceVision’s edge AI vision platform is meant to raise fire-detection accuracy while keeping the unit’s cost competitive. The outlet cites Verified Market Research’s forecast that the global market for commercial kitchen automatic fire suppression grows from $2.8 billion in 2025 to $5.54 billion in 2033, and notes that demand in Korea has risen since fire-safety equipment became mandatory for restaurants and group catering facilities in December 2023.

Hayan Industrial was founded in 2004 and has spent more than twenty years in fire detection and automatic suppression, with patents and performance certifications to its name, supplying safety systems to Korean retailers and service companies including E-Mart, GS Retail, Shinsegae Food, and Samsung SDS. It has built thermal-imaging sensing into its units; with this LoC the two companies add 3D sensing and edge AI vision processing on top of it.

Add 3D sensing and AI vision processing that runs at the edge to thermal-imaging sensing already proven in the field, and you cut false detections, speed up the response, and improve the cost structure of the whole system at the same time.

ModigenceVision builds on its modular AI vision platform MARU™ Gen 2, with hardware fitted to the site (Tower, Link, and ONE) and edge AI processing, and the agreement extends the business into fire safety as a new application. The two companies plan to run the pilot, then move to the definitive contract and commercialization. Kim added that in a fast-growing fire-safety market the cooperation could set a new standard for Korea’s smart fire-prevention industry, and the outlet reads it as a case of two companies with different strengths combining to write a market standard rather than a simple parts supply.
